Snake Saturday Parade -North Kansas City, MO

  • FROM THE WEST, SOUTH & EAST: Take I-70 to the Heart of America Bridge exit. Go North across the bridge (this takes you to Burlington) Go east on 14th St.
  • FROM THE NORTH: Take I-35 South to Armour Rd. Go west on Armour Road to Burlington Go south on Burlington to 14th. FREE PARKING: for participants is south of 13th street or north of 16th street. Come early if you want to find a space.


Fleming Park – Shelter House # 11

  • FROM THE WEST (Kansas City): Take I-70 east to I-470 south to Woods Chapel Road (Exit #12); exit and go east (left); turn right on the Rennau Drive; turn right on Beach Rd. Follow Beach Rd to Shelter #11
  • FROM THE NORTH: Take I-29 or I-35 south to I-435 east to I-70 east; then follow directions above (from the West).
  • FROM LEE’S SUMMIT: Take MO 291 north to I-470 north to Woods Chapel Road (Exit #12); exit and go east (right); turn right on the Rennau Drive; turn right on Beach Rd. Follow Beach Rd to Shelter # 11.
  • FROM THE SOUTHWEST (Johnson Co, KS): Take I-435 east to I-470 east to Woods Chapel Road (exit #11); then follow directions from Lee’s Summit (above).
  • FROM THE EAST (Columbia): Take I-70 west to the Woods Chapel Road exit; exit and go south (left); turn right onto Route 40; turn left onto Woods Chapel Road again at the next light; go about 2.5 miles and turn left on Rennau Drive; turn right on Beach Rd. Follow Beach Rd to Shelter # 11.


Kemper Outdoor Education Center, Blues Springs, MO

  • FROM I-70 AND 7 HWY IN BLUE SPRINGS: Go south 5 miles on 7 Hwy; turn right on Cowherd Road (by Rick’s Lawnmower Service); turn right on Jasper Bell Road (first right); go ½ mile to Kemper Outdoor Edu-cation Center entrance on right (stone wall and iron gates at entrance).
  • FROM 291 HWY AND COLBERN ROAD IN LEE’S SUMMIT: Go east 3 miles on Colbern Road; turn left (north) on Cyclone School Road; turn right on Lochkirk (there’s a jog in Lochkirk-go right, then left); right on Cow-herd (T-intersection); take first left turn (Jasper Bell Road); go ½ mile to Kemper Outdoor Education Center entrance on right (stone wall and iron gates at entrance).
  • FROM I-70 AND I-470 (ALSO CALLED 291 HWY) IN INDEPENDENCE: Go east on I-70 to the 7 Hwy exit in Blue Springs; exit and turn right; go south 5 miles on 7 Hwy; turn right on Cowherd Road (by Rick’s Lawnmower Service); turn right on Jasper Bell Road (first right); go ½ mile to Kemper Outdoor Education Center entrance on right (stone wall and iron gates at entrance).

Fleming Hall, Blues Springs, MO

  • FROM DOWNTOWN KANSAS CITY: Take I-70 East to I-470 South; Exit on Woods Chapel Road (exit #12) and turn left (east); Go about 1 1/2 miles; Fleming Hall will be on the left just after the main entrance to the park (which is on the right); park in the large parking lot just before the meeting hall. FROM THE NORTH: Take I-35 south or I-29 south to I-435 east (toward St. Louis) to I-70 east (also toward St. Louis); follow the directions from KC above.
  • FROM THE SOUTH OR SOUTHWEST: Take I-470 east or north; Exit on Woods Chapel Road (exit #12) and turn right (east); Go about 1 1/2 miles; Fleming Hall will be on the left just after the main entrance to the park (which is on the right); park in the large parking lot just before the meeting hall.
  • FROM THE SOUTHEAST: Take 50 Hwy west to 7 Hwy; exit and turn right (north); Turn left on Liggett Road (about 2nd or 3rd light); at T-intersection turn left on Woods Chapel Road; Fleming Hall will be the first building on the right; park in the large parking lot just past the meeting hall.
  • ​FROM INDEPENDENCE OR BLUE SPRINGS: Take 40 Hwy to Woods Chapel Road; go south; Fleming Hall will be the first building on the right; park in the large parking lot just past the meeting hall.


Kill Creek Reservoir & Beach

  • FROM KS 10 HWY: The Kill Creek entrance is located near 116th and Homestead Lane. To get to the park, exit Kansas 10 Highway at Kill Creek Road and proceed south to 115th Street. Turn right onto 115th Street and continue to Homestead Lane. Take a left onto Homestead. The park entrance is on the right near the crest of the first hill. Follow signs to swimming beach..
