This years parade theme is..."Sharin' O' the Green"

WE ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE SNAKE PARADE IN NORTH KANSAS CITY MO. THE ROUTE IS FLAT & IS A FUN EVENT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. GUESTS ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE! Show your creativity and dress your dog in costume or decorate your cart! Please wear something GREEN!

The Parade will begin promptly at 11:00 with staging of entries beginning at 8:30 AM. Please DO NOT arrive later than 9:45 AM. Be prompt.

This is an easy route - about a mile. The parade will travel north on Swift to Armour Road, then turn east down Armour Road to Howell Street, turn south and disband after crossing 18th. Street. The reviewing stand will be on Armour Road in front of the North Kansas City, City Hall.

PARADE ORDER: This year we will be in SECTION #4 and STAGING #18. There will be parade organizers who will direct you to the right area. Be sure to ask where you should go. Free parking and drop-off area for parade participants is south of 14th Street. Print out the Parade Area map here.

Remember to Bring Water & Bowls for your dog and poop bags to pick up your dogs droppings.

After the Snake Saturday Parade, we will be having lunch at the home of Greg Pottorff and Karen Winterhalter (13001 W. 79th. Street, Lenexa, KS). Following lunch, we will have a board meeting and the HANC General Meeting. If you can't make it to the parade, please join us at Greg and Karen's around 1:30. It's always a fun afternoon. Here are directions to Karen and Greg's house from the parade site. From North Kansas City, go south on I-35. Exit on 75th St. and turn right (west) for 1.3 miles. Turn left (south) on Quivira for 0.5 miles. Turn right (west) on 79th St. Karen and Greg live at 79th and Long, approximately 0.4 miles west of Quivira. The addresses in the area are not in order, so the house can be difficult to locate. Please park across the street on Long or around the corner on Westgate, and not in the driveway.
