Suzi Bidwell is coordinating this Dog Walk. Directions to the park: 87th St. exit west from I-435 to park entrance on the right about 1 1/2 miles. Follow Barkley Dr. west to parking lot opposite shelter 8. Lunch following walk at Bidwell home. We can follow each other leaving the parking lot to the house for lunch. Dogs on leash, no flexis, bring water for the car before and after walk, and plastic bag for poop.
Saturday, May 10th, 9:00 am - with brunch afterwards at Bidwells'. Bring water for dogs and poop bags. It could be warm so we are starting early. This time we are doing the 2 mile circle of Nelson Island which is the farthest point North of the Streamway Trail system. This is very easy to find. From I 435 on the Northwest side of the metro exit Holliday Drive (8A) and go west 1 mile. Cross RR tracks and creek to Wilder Rd. access to Streamway Park, a parking lot on the left. That is where we will meet. We can caravan to the Bidwells' after the walk which is a short distance. Contact Suzi Bidwell with questions and let me know who is coming.
